HOMESTAY INTERNATIONAL (UK) LIMITED
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Initial enquiries should either be sent via contact page on our website or by email detailing requirements and contact details.
Current agencies should email requirements for each group with specifications direct to bookings.
Group confirmation should be sent to Homestay International (UK) Limited no later than 12 weeks before arrival.
Group requirements will be confirmed by email to Agent / Organisation once specifications for each group have been sent to Homestay International.
Homestay International accept students from 13 years + and 14 years (in some instances if requested from 11 years) for our Summer School in July and August and Mini groups throughout the year. School Integration Programmes are catered for including a bespoke programme ages of students between 12 and 16 years only.
NAMES AGES OF STUDENTS
Names and ages of students should be sent to Homestay International six weeks before arrival.
STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
Homestay International welcomes students with disabilities. Full details of disabilities should be shared with Homestay International prior to arrival.
In case of any extra support for individual students, Group Leaders must adhere to requests made by Homestay International including supporting the individual during school on activities and where necessary within the homestay.
DIETRY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES
Students with special dietary requirements should disclose information prior to arrival. Homestay International should be notified of any allergies of students before arrival. Any student travelling with medication should notify Homestay International prior to arrival.
A supplement will be charged for lactose and gluten free diets etc. This does not apply to vegetarian diets. Halal (denoting or relating to meat prepared as prescribed by Muslim law) will be offered vegetarian diets to ensure the strict guidelines are not unintentionally compromised, this carries no additional charge as a dietary requirement as above.
HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION
Homestay International will provide homestay accommodation close the Town Centre of Eastbourne and reserve the right to change host families up to arrival. All Homestay accommodation is supplied on half board service. Packed lunches are now an additional requirement and will need to be requested upon booking.
ILLNESS
If a student falls ill whilst attending a course in Eastbourne, the Group Leader / Teacher of the group has the responsibility of sourcing medical attention for the student.
It is the responsibility of teacher / Group Leader to administer medication if student travels with specific medication.
Homestay International will assist with any emergency / request for assistance.
FEES
Our rates will be sent to agent once an enquiry has been made.
BOOKING FEES
10% deposit due on group booking confirmation.
Balance of invoice will be due 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation of booking between 14 days and 7 days of arrival will result in 50% refund of balance invoice with deposit being retained. Cancellation seven days or less before arrival no refund will be made.
All visiting groups with large numbers of students over the age of 16 years will be charged £16.50 per person for full and half day excursions to cover additional rail and entry fees.
Privately placed Group Leaders escorting groups will be charge a non-accommodation supply supplement of £85 per week to cover entry and rail costs.
INSURANCE
Homestay International do not hold responsibility for travel insurance, we strongly advise insurance is purchased by the individual/groups before travel to the UK. And should include medical insurance
HOMESTAY INSURANCE
In the unlikely event of any damage caused by a student at their homestay will be the responsibility of agent and details will be sent to booking agent for each group for their consideration. Details of any damage will be sent in writing to the booking Agent.
TRAVEL TO THE UK
All students who arrive in the UK must comply to Government Guidelines both from their country or origin and within the UK at the time travel. Homestay International cannot take responsibility for financial loss or damage to belongings.
Whilst included in Integration and Full Programme packages, a meet and greet is supplied. There is a supplement for alternative airports due to the additional coach hire costings.
LUGGAGE
All groups who arrive before 17:00 hr and depart after 08:30 hrs between Monday and Friday will incur a flat rate charge of £150 for luggage storage on arrival and on departure day.
LATE / EARLY ARRIVALS / DEPARTURES
Any group arriving /departing between the hours of 22:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs will incur a charge of £20.00 per host family to contribute to their transfers.
BEFORE ARRIVAL
In the event of war adverse weather conditions / natural disasters / pandemic / cancellations of flights / ferry crossings terrorism riots. Homestay International cannot take responsibility for financial loss or damage to belongings.
GROUP LEADER / TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES
All Group Leaders / Teachers should be in receipt of valid DBS / Police check which is the responsibility of the booking Agent.
Groups should be escorted by two Group Leaders for up to and including first 15 students thereafter a 1 adult – 14 student ratios should be always maintained.
